Bruno Munari

Bruno Munari

Bruno Munari was an artist and designer from Milan who began his artistic career at a very young age within the Futurist movement, later developing a highly personal and original style. In 1930, he made his debut in the Futurist scene with the "Aerial Machine" and the "Useless Machines". After the war, Bruno Munari occupied various roles as art director, advertiser, and illustrator, beginning his design career by designing products, installations, games and illustrated books for children. Many exhibitions have been dedicated to his artistic productions in galleries and museums of contemporary art all over the world. Among his productions as a designer, we remember the designer lamps he produced for Artemide, the Falklands in the floor lamp and pendant version, featuring seven metal rings covered with a sock of elastic fabric and the Esagonale lamp.
