Fabio Novembre

Fabio Novembre, born in Lecce in 1966, studied architecture graduating from the Milan Polytechnic in 1992. He is known for having created spaces and objects with great expressive power for the most important international companies, in the fields of design, fashion, art and of architecture. In 1994, he opened his own studio in Milan and collaborated with Driade, Cappellini, Meritalia, Flaminia and Casamania. He designed boutiques and showrooms for major fashion brands, including Blumarine, Tardini and Stuart Weitzman. In 2010 the Municipality of Milan commissioned him to set up the stand inside the Italian Pavilion of the Shanghai Expo and in 2011 he was responsible for the artistic direction of the "Lavazza con te partirò" exhibition. Since 2019, Fabio Novembre is Artistic Director of Driade, scientific director for the Domus Academy in Milan and member of the scientific committee of the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale.

For the Kartell brand he designed Lantern, a wireless table lamp that can be easily transported, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Lantern takes up the stylistic lines of classic lanterns, it is made of transparent colored PMMA, pleated and sparkling, making plastic a precious and refined material. Lantern offers 8 hours of autonomy.
