Jehs, Laub

Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub both studied industrial design at the University of Schwabisch Gmund, Germany, graduating in 1992. Theirs is a friendship that began in the early 90s, during an internship in New York. The overseas experience has led them to broaden their artistic-design vision, giving life to new forms and unique products. Together they founded the Jehs + Laub design studio in Stuttgart. They designed furniture, tableware, lighting and interiors. Their design language is based on remaining faithful to the form, materials and function of the object, while remaining immersed in the German tradition of the Bauhaus. There is no stylistic elaboration other than that essential beauty of things. They collaborate with customers from all over the world including Italy, for which they collaborate with Nemo Lighting. For this Made in Italy brand they designed the Crown family of suspension, floor and wall lamps, inspired by the crystalline of a snowflake.
