Carlo Colombo

Carlo Colombo graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1993 and immediately began working in the world of design, focusing on products, graphics and installations. During his career he has collaborated with some of the most important brands of Italian design and has also taught interior design at Beijing University.

In 2013 he founded the A++ studio together with Paolo Colombo, based in Lugano and other international offices, carrying out architecture and interior design projects all over the world. His works have been exhibited in important museums, from Paris to Milan.

For Artemide he designed Zephyr, a chandelier that combines minimalist form and modular structure, designed to adapt to any space. The heart of the project is a double cylindrical diffuser in hand-blown glass, worked to create a refined play of light that does not dazzle and enhances the environment. Zephyr is a modern version of the classic chandelier, where the artisanal beauty of the glass also becomes a technical tool to diffuse light in a balanced way.
